On April 28, the Indiana General Assembly adopted HB 1001, the state's biennial budget bill, which includes an additional $500 million for READI 2.0 over the next two years. These funds will allow Indiana regional partnerships to once again submit applications to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) for funding projects that promote talent attraction and retention and economic growth.
West Central Indiana – The Wabash River Regional Development Authority (RDA) publicly voted on and announced the regional projects that are awarded READI dollars. Twenty-four projects spanning across Clay, Knox, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo Counties received funds totaling $20 million dollars from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). Each project collectively works to advance the region’s quality of life and talent attraction and retention efforts. The Wabash River RDA has been working closing with the IEDC on funding roll-out since receiving the funds in December 2021.
