The Wabash River RDA was pleased to receive 37 READI 2.0 proposals from West Central Indiana project stakeholders for consideration; and therefore, we recognize $10 million in READI funds will not be able to impact all of these project submissions. However, the RDA believes strongly in the vision of West Central Indiana and will continue working with project stakeholders to move transformational projects forward, including pursuing additional funding through other opportunities. Our region is not defined by one grant process but by the people who make up the region and are working hard to transform its quality of life for those choosing to call West Central Indiana home. The RDA is scheduled to meet with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in May to learn more about next steps regarding READI funding and other opportunities, including the Lilly Endowment funding for redevelopment, blight elimination, and arts/culture projects.
