Diversity & Career Center (Ivy Tech)

It is with excitement that Ivy Tech Community College – Terre Haute plans to have a new Diversity Center and a Career and Employer Connection Center t to develop a location that will create a sense of belonging for all, a critical aspect to retain talent in the West Central Indiana region. Workforce development is a critical need in West Central Indiana. Ivy Tech Community College – Terre Haute will build upon existing K-12 collaboration to develop and increase apprenticeship opportunities for high school students and graduates.

• Renovation of existing student areas to allow the creation of the Diversity Center, Career and Employer Connection Center, and IT Service Desk
• Funding for Initial Laptops
• Endowment account for Laptops
• Initial staffing for IT Service Desk and Diversity Center – 3 years until positions can be supported by campus
• Support an apprenticeship coordinator and assistant
• Team building course elements

Through partnering with the Vigo County School Corporation, local businesses, and community partners, Ivy Tech Community College – Terre Haute will take the Diversity Center and Career and Employer Connection Center from a dream to reality. These resources are necessary for our students to continue to develop and enhance their skillset, and prepare them for their chosen career pathways while progressing regional initiatives established by West Central Indiana Partnership forward.
